Department of Children and Families was established by the Northern Territory (NT) Government on 10 September 2024.
Department of Children and Families is a multi-functional human services and community-focused agency that works to provide responsive, safe and quality services and programs that empower communities and improve social outcomes for Territorians.
Our agency includes the following divisions:
- Child protection
- Family responsibility agreements and orders
- Out of home care
- Children and families policy and services
- Family violence services
- Prevention of domestic, family and sexual violence
- Family and parent support services
- Homelessness services
- Whole of government children’s policy
