DFSV Advisory Group

DFSV Aboriginal Advisory Group

Domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) affects people across all communities.  Evidence shows that Aboriginal women and children experience violence at significantly higher rates, with impacts that are often more severe and more complex.

The Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Aboriginal Advisory Group (AAG) provides advice to the Minister for Prevention of Domestic Violence on improving how domestic, family and sexual violence is prevented and responded to, particularly as it impacts Aboriginal people, families and communities across the Northern Territory

The AAG supports strong 2-way information sharing with communities and draws on professional expertise and lived experience to inform policy, programs and service delivery.
