16 Days of Activism: NTAHC
Learn about the crucial work of the Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council (NTAHC).
As part of our #16DaysofActivism campaign, we’re showcasing how Territorians are making a difference by working to prevent or respond to domestic, family and sexual violence.
NTAHC is a peer-led organisation advocating for the rights and empowerment of those affected by or at risk of blood-borne viruses. They offer a range of services to support those who have experienced gender-based violence, including case management, emergency relief funds, referral pathways into other social services, and a sex worker outreach program.
Domestic, family and sexual violence affects people of all backgrounds and entire communities, and we can all play a part in preventing it. As Genevieve Dally, executive director of NTAHC, states, ‘Change can happen on a very large-scale ... and on a micro or small scale through everyday interactions.’
Watch the video with Genevieve to learn more about the work of NTAHC and how we can all make change happen.
